I bought the Flash Son in early October 2023 from Poizon. When I first got them, I thought the design was really cool, especially the big lightning bolt that looks different under different angles with its reflective effect. At first, the shoes felt a bit big, but after some wear, I found they fit better for people with low arches and wide feet.
The shoes come with two separate Boost-like pads, giving a slight forward-tilted feel from the front to the back, which is quite comfortable. The grip is excellent, whether on indoor or outdoor courts. The low center of gravity also prevents any slipping or heel issues, and the overall fit is pretty good.
Now, let's talk about the drawbacks:
1. The Boost-like cushioning is there, but it's not very noticeable.
2. The midfoot torsion bar isn't very strong—it works for low to medium intensity games but struggles with high-intensity play.
3. The shoes are prone to glue and fly-wire issues, and you might see problems after just one game.
4. After wearing them for a while, my feet started to hurt, especially around the arches.
5. Whatever you do, don't wash the insoles—they will shrink. I learned that the hard way.
That's my personal experience with the shoes. If you're considering getting them, think carefully. This is just my opinion and doesn't reflect others' experiences.
